If photography is a fairly recent passion for me - around ten years ago - street photography quickly established itself as the discipline best suited to my needs. But the more photos I take, the more I become aware of my propensity to use my camera as a support for more pictorial or narrative purposes than descriptive ones. Even if I like to scatter hints about the times we live in, I feel more and more the need to organize space with shapes, lights, colors, atmospheres... conducive to the creation of imaginary scenes played out by anonymous passers-by. Breathing dreams and aesthetics into the most mundane everyday life, visually painting or sculpting what my hands did not learn to do in my youth has become a vital need. An exciting exercise that I like to make more difficult every day by adding new elements or layers, always trying to simplify the complexity a little more. Winner or finalist of numerous awards, Valérie SIX images have been exhibited around the world and published in numerous photo books and magazines, in France and abroad.
